For this session of Tech. Wed. the websites Freemake.com and Evernote.com were covered. Freemake.com has a Video Converter program that is free that allows you to convert video to multiple types of video file extensions. The website Evernote.com allows students to use any web enabled device to take notes and even write papers. Please watch the short video below for more details on both of these websites.
Yesterday during Tech Wednesday we covered a video downloader from Freemake.com. This allows you to download video to your local computer and then upload to your Schoology.com account. Another topic of discussion was the exporting of Smart Notebook pages and uploading these to your Schoology.com account.
Last night the topic was a website called schoology.com. Schoology is a classroom management system that has a familiar layout and setting to that of Facebook.com. This allows students to need little or no training on how to use the site. With Schoology you are able to post your lesson plans, begin discussions, link to videos, post class updates, accept homework, and even assign quizzes and tests. Below is a video introduction of Schoology. Currently all teachers do have a login for password. When you feel that you are ready to begin using Schoology contact me via email and let me know and I will share your account information and help you get setup.
